Vacancy: Head of Architecture

In this crucial phase, the Head of Architecture can shape the IT landscape, define a clear architectural vision, and work closely with business and IT stakeholders to create a scalable, future-proof, and data-driven organization.

The Head of Architecture leads a team of three architects and nine business analysts, with the analysts reporting to their own team lead. In this role, the Head of Architecture ensures that the IT landscape remains coherent, scalable, high-quality, and compliant. This includes overseeing new applications such as Player Account Management (PAM) and responsible gaming systems, guiding the technical development of a cross-sell channel across all lottery brands, and professionalizing data domains through AI and analytics. Innovations are applied strategically, with a focus on maximizing their contribution to Nederlandse Loterij’s commercial outcomes and long-term strategic objectives.

Nederlandse Loterij’s IT organization comprises around 250 professionals. As part of the Technology Leadership Team, the Head of Architecture works closely with the Heads of DevOps Lotteries, DevOps iGaming, Data Management, and Infrastructure/Security, reporting directly to CTIO Maartje Geven. In this role, maintaining strong relationships with external partners and IT suppliers is essential, alongside the ability to steer a complex network of internal and external stakeholders.

• Als IT Solution Architect werk je in een team van ongeveer 15 Productinrichters. Deze Productinrichters werken in verschillende scrumteams aan diverse onderwerpen. Ze stellen functionele en technische ontwerpen op en richten op basis daarvan de verzekeringsproducten in.
• Als IT Solution Architect ben jij dé sparringpartner voor de business als het gaat om de oplossingsrichtingen binnen Productinrichting. Je discussieert veel met collega’s en vakgenoten over nieuwe mogelijkheden of andere toepassingen van reeds bestaande technieken en methoden.
• Je overziet het geheel en weet daarmee tot de beste oplossingen te komen. Jij bewaakt, onderhoudt en vernieuwt de PI architectuur. Je bent op de hoogte van de trends en ontwikkelingen in de markt en weet die toe te passen. • Een bruto maandsalaris tussen € 4.337,62 en maximaal € 6.558,47 bij een dienstverband van 40 uur en afhankelijk van kennis en werkervaring.

Als business consultant binnen PGGM IM (Investment Management) ben je onderdeel van het team IM IT Data Solutions. Dit DevOps-team zorgt voor de ontwikkeling, implementatie en optimalisatie van hoogwaardige dataproducten en dataoplossingen. Verandervraagstukken vanuit IM worden via de Product Owner (PO) ingediend en geprioriteerd voor dit IT-team. Als business consultant analyseer je de verandervraagstukken en werk je deze uit in epics en features. Hierbij werk je nauw samen met de PO, je IT-team en relevante stakeholders. Belangrijk is dat informatie vanuit de systemen past binnen de bestaande functionaliteit. Je hebt daarom een goed begrip van producten, processen en systemen en overziet het grotere (technische) geheel. Omdat we datagedreven werken en daarmee bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe dataproducten met andere teams, is kennis van datamodelleren een pré. MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Master Degree in econometrics, physics, mathematics, or applied economics with an academic track record in a quantitative field.
• At least 4-5 years of experience in Financial Services in the banking sector.
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks (Economic Capital, Risk Appetite, Stress Testing.
• Good hands-on experience in the following areas: model development or model validation etc.
• Relevant regulatory knowledge (e.g. CRR, CRD, IRB, IFRS9, .).
• Good command of specific packages like SAS, Python or R.
• Ability to work autonomously in a result-oriented environment.
• Very good communication, writing and presentation skills in English (Dutch is a plus).

NICE TO HAVE:

• A certification like FRM or PRM would be an advantage.

VERANTWOORDELIJKHEDEN

• Je neemt deel aan of leidt opdrachten binnen onze Risk Advisory-praktijk op het gebied van kwantitatieve modellering voor onze bancaire klanten.
• Je ondersteunt onze klanten bij het modelleren van hun kredietrisico (PD, LGD, EAD/CCF, EC.) van het ontwerpen tot de implementatie van modellen, waarbij je gebruik maakt van de meest geavanceerde technologieën of softwarepakketten.
• Daarnaast neem je deel aan validatieopdrachten van modellen en geef je onze klanten passende aanbevelingen om hun modellen en bijbehorende processen te verbeteren.
• Afhankelijk van je ervaring werk je als lid van ons team van getalenteerde professionals of coördineer je de werkverdeling binnen verschillende projecten terwijl je junior medewerkers coacht.

VEREISTE KWALIFICATIES

• Masterdiploma in econometrie, fysica, wiskunde of toegepaste economie met een academische achtergrond in een kwantitatief domein.
• Minstens 4 à 5 jaar ervaring in Financial Services binnen de bankensector.
• Vertrouwd met risicobeheerframeworks (Economic Capital, Risk Appetite, Stress Testing).
• Aantoonbare praktijkervaring op het vlak van modelontwikkeling of modelvalidatie.
• Relevante kennis van regelgeving (bv. CRR, CRD, IRB, IFRS9, .).
• Goede kennis van softwarepakketten zoals SAS, Python of R.
• Vermogen om zelfstandig te werken in een resultaatgerichte omgeving.
• Zeer goede communicatie-, schrijf- en presentatievaardigheden in het Engels en Nederlands.
