**About the Role**
We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented **Demand Planning Manager** to join our team in Heerlen. In this key role, you will lead forecasting and planning efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate demand forecasts, optimize inventory levels, and support business growth across multiple markets and sales channels.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Develop and implement effective demand planning strategies to forecast product needs across various markets and distribution channels.
+ Collaborate with teams in Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to gather insights and align on forecast assumptions.
+ Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify patterns and improve forecast accuracy.

**Qualifications**
+ At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or integrated business planning, ideally within the medical device or healthcare sector.
+ Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of best practices in supply chain management.
+ Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
+ Comfortable working with large datasets and drawing actionable insights.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior leadership.
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with demand planning software is a plus.
+ Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across departments.
**Education and Certifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.

Job Description
This position supports planning for very significant revenue streams as well as very complex supply planning networks which are critical to AbbVie's top line revenue goals and strategic imperatives. Key to the role will be the leadership of a team of planners responsible for coordination all aspects of supply, providing long range plans as well as supply scenarios, supporting monthly S&OP cycle and input to LRP and annual plan. Additionally, the team manages significant cash flow and inventory balances against predefined financial targets.
Responsible to develop and execute effective supply plans including planning for product launches, LOE and site transfers as required while meeting assurance of supply objectives for current phase of product lifecycle and managing complexity of the regulatory changes/post approval changes in alignment with Brand and other stakeholders. Ensure that supply constraints are recognised, and priorities are managed and aligned from a supply perspective. Represent Global Supply Planning in achieving cross functional alignment with Commercial, ME&C, Brand, Demand, Distribution and Logistics as well as Finance organization as needed. The key objective is to ensure continuity of supply for our patients while balancing service, cost and responsiveness, balancing demand and supply and aligning plans to business objectives.
This role is also responsible for the development of their team members, empowering them to excel in their roles with a focus on cultivating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Responsibilities:
+ Leadership to a team of planners who perform complex, multi-level network planning, ensuring continuity of supply while balancing ME&C plan requirements and supporting revenue, inventory and cash flow targets as part of a complex network.
+ Primary interface to ME&C in relation to supply requirements. Develop relationships and work collaboratively with ME&C to develop robust planning and supply strategies helping maximize business results while adhering to service, inventory and cash targets.
+ Develop and deploy inventory strategies collaboratively with stakeholders including Finance, Commercial, Brand, ME&C. Ensure planning processes support adherence to inventory policies and objectives.
+ Actively drive understanding within Global Supply Planning of the brand landscape, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, life cycle strategy and ensure these are built into and correctly accounted for in both long-term and short-term supply plans.
+ Actively support and participate in cost reduction and network strategy as well as transfer management for the ME&C products planned.
+ Improve supply planning process robustness and implement best practices aligned with global principles. Champion and drive use of and understanding of corporate tools in the planning process.
+ Anticipate and elevate issues that threaten assurance of supply. Work with AbbVie cross-functional teams to define and implement mitigations plans.
+ Member of the Global Supply Planning leadership team/extended leadership team supporting and assisting with supply strategy development and deployment. Lead initiatives if requested.
+ Present to senior leaders, articulating a clear story and anticipating questions/concerns. Consistently demonstrates executive presence.
+ Develop high performing planning team and provide mentoring and guidance to team members as well as timely and specific performance feedback related to business objectives and AbbVie ways of working.
Qualifications
+ Bachelors required, Master level preferred in Operations, Supply Chain or Business Management.
+ MBA or APICS certification - desired
+ 8 years' experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management and/ or Financial Management with people management experience

EMEA Demand & Inventory Planning Manager
The Team
Within the Omni Planning & Allocation team, our mission is to drive commercial trade, financial planning, demand forecasting, and allocation & replenishment of inventory across all channels and categories, whilst setting strategic guardrails on product promotions and markdown decisions to maximize margin and profitability. This position's team serves as the backbone of our department, collaborating closely with Buying/Merchandising, DTC Channel teams (eCom, FP, Outlet), Hubs, and Finance to ensure that all inventory and product decisions are aligned with company-wide planning and allocation decisions. With an integral position in the team, the role contributes significantly to the department's operational efficiency, strategic growth, and overall success.
The Position
As EMEA Demand & Inventory Planning Manager, you will be crucial to the Omni Planning and Allocation team. You will lead Total EMEA seasonal demand forecasting and buy planning, for certain division(s), collaborating closely with DTC channels and Hubs/Wholesale Key Account Planning teams to support sales, margin, and inventory goals. This role is vital for achieving the Omni Planning and Allocation objectives and your work will be key to the commercial success of the TH brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Long term planning: Input into long-range planning processes and support top-down seasonal sales, margin, and inventory plans and strategies to meet corporate financial targets.
- Merchandise strategy: Collaborate with DTC Buying, Merchandising and Wholesale Account teams to align demand forecasts with seasonal product strategies.
- Demand planning: Create EMEA option level demand plans for the seasonal product category, in partnership with Merchandising counterparts, improving accuracy of sell in vs forecast.
- Integrated Demand Planning (IDP): Input into IDP process with seasonal Product Category demand plans and growth strategies that will deliver on Sales & Margin targets. Partner closely with DTC channels and Hubs/Wholesale Key Account Planning teams to ensure product demand plans reconcile against channel demand.
- Range planning: Contribute demand insights into the seasonal range planning process, reviewing option counts, volume segmentation, and customer needs across channels.
- Buy quantification: Consolidate and validate seasonal buy recommendations for Mainline and pass off consolidated, sized buys to Planning Operations team.
- Continuous improvement: Implement and exploit new systems and processes to continually increase team efficiency.
- Manage team of demand planners: provide managerial and leadership support to the team, providing guidance and direction to enable them to effectively deliver on their team's responsibilities.

Wat ga je doen?

Als manager geef je leiding aan de financiële administratie, belastingen, financial- en business control. Het team is het resultaat van een samenvoeging in 2023 en is volop in beweging. Tal van verbeterinitiatieven zijn en worden opgepakt op het gebied van stuurinformatie, procesmanagement, digitalisering, eigenaarschap en de ontwikkeling van het team zelf. Je gaat aan de slag met de strategische doelen van een financiële gezonde organisatie en weet je medewerkers te faciliteren om hun rol nog beter te kunnen invullen. De verbeteragenda vanuit het team sluit aan bij de wens van directie en bestuur om te komen tot meer rust en voorspelbaarheid in de P&C cyclus. Van de manager Finance & Control wordt verwacht hier programmatisch op te sturen.

Je bent onderdeel van het managementteam binnen het domein Bedrijfsvoering en legt direct verantwoording af aan de domeinmanager. Samen met je collega teammanagers geef je sturing aan eenduidig, efficiënt en digitaal werken.

Je hebt ruime ervaring met leiding geven aan financiële professionals, weet je team te motiveren en de rust te bewaren als de druk toeneemt.
