Are you a technical data analyst who looks beyond just building dashboards? At EQOM, we are not looking for a standard data analyst, but an expert who can structure and automate data and make a real impact. Here, you will have the opportunity to help build solutions that go beyond just analysis or modeling—you will contribute to structural improvement, scalability, and growth.
What will you be doing?
At EQOM, you will work with data in a way that adds value to the company. You will build dashboards, create reports, and sometimes model data in a smart and scalable way. You will not only think about what needs to be extracted from the data, but also how—with an eye for reusability, structure, and efficiency. You will work according to principles such as "don't repeat yourself" and ensure that solutions are right the first time.
You will find yourself in an environment where software engineering skills are just as important as analytical skills. Structuring, automating, and communicating clearly are essential. You are able to coach colleagues and work closely with various teams, such as e-commerce, logistics, finance, sales, and purchasing—both B2B and B2C.
Our tech stack:
· Databricks on Azure
· dbt for data modeling
You will be part of our Data team, an international team of data & web analysts, analytics engineers, and data engineers.
Who are you?
You are an expert who, in addition to the what, also thinks about how we collect the data, with an eye for reusability and efficiency. You are able to structure and automate the data.
You translate complex into simple. You also convey insights clearly to colleagues without a technical background, in a way that suits their role and field of expertise.
As an experienced data analyst, you know how to make a business question concrete. By asking "why" and empathizing with the user, you ensure that your dashboard, report, or data product is of great value to the internal user and thus to our success as a company.
You.
· Ask the right questions to understand processes.
· Communicate realistic expectations without resorting to please-behavior.
· Are a reliable discussion partner: open, honest, and always focused on the common goal.
And -not unimportantly- you are simply a fun colleague to work with
What are we looking for?
Can you bring the following to EQOM?
· Higher vocational education (HBO+) level of working and thinking
· At least 3 years of experience as a data analyst
· You are also familiar with building/structuring/transforming data
· Experience in a commercial environment with the associated speed and focus on results
· Strong knowledge of and experience with SQL
· Experience with PowerBI (or similar) for building dashboards
· Experience with Python
· Experience with dbt and/or Databricks is an advantage
· Strong analytical skills and eye for detail
· Able to patiently convert vague questions into concrete products
· Clear and adaptive communication, taking into account different styles or cultural backgrounds
· Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
Good to know:
For this position, you must be able to work at least three days a week at our office in Veendam.
What do we offer you?
If you come to work at EQOM, you can count on a unique opportunity within a young company.
We offer you:
· A one-year contract for 32, 36, or 40 hours per week—in consultation, of course
· A competitive salary
· Flexible working hours and hybrid working (home & office) if desired
· Travel allowance
· Work-from-home allowance
· 24 vacation days based on a 40-hour work week
· 8% vacation pay
· The option to purchase additional vacation days
· Pension accrual with the Retail Pension Fund
· A large group lunch on Fridays
· The option to work on-premise for 6 weeks, for example in combination with a trip
· Free in-house gym + discount on your gym membership via Bedrijfsfitness Nederland
· Our activities committee organizes various fun activities and a few larger events such as a Summer BBQ and Oktoberfest.
· Plenty of room for personal development and growth
Would you like to work on exciting projects in an international, growing company? Now is the time to join EQOM. We look forward to getting to know you
