  • Contribute to external reporting and having a stake in our management reporting, including the preparation of the Corporate Annual report and quarterly reports to the investor community;
  • Providing technical IFRS/ accounting support;
  • Responsible for complex accounting areas, such as capitalization of internally generated software, hedge accounting, revenue recognition and lease accounting.
  • Responsible for statutory reporting process of selected subsidiaries.
  • Proactively analyzing and reviewing results of specific processes and balances of the company and being able to explain these to a wider audience;
  • Design and report on management reporting and KPI's of the Reporting team;
  • Overseeing and ensuring data quality and integrity of specific financial reports;
  • Contribute to larger Corporate projects (e.g. Carbon accounting, Sustainability reporting);
  • Participate in presentations with management teams as required.

This = what you bring

For this role we are looking for candidates with a Master's degree in business economics or related discipline in combination with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in an international environment. Next to this:

  • Having the title RA is mandatory.
  • Having experience as a (senior) manager in an accounting firm or having experience in a larger Corporate as a Reporting Specialist is mandatory.
  • Having good IFRS knowledge and experience (e.g. revenue recognition, hedge accounting, leasing, capitalization of software and purchase price allocations) is mandatory.

De functie

Het accounting team van VDVI bestaat momenteel uit 6 medewerkers en is verantwoordelijk voor de volledige administratie van circa 50 administraties met de bijbehorende maand-, kwartaal- en jaarafsluitingen. Binnen het team wordt nauwgezet en accuraat gewerkt en er wordt gezorgd dat de onderneming in compliance is met de huidige wet- en regelgeving. Voor de functie van Manager Accounting zoeken wij iemand die stressbestendig is, gestructureerd werkt, initiatief toont, graag leert en veel affiniteit heeft met automatisering.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Aansturen en coachen van het accounting team;
  • Verantwoordelijk voor de projectadministratie in overleg met de projectmanagers en de aansluiting hiervan met het grootboek;

The Sr. Manager Accounting Europe will be responsible for overseeing the Europe accounting function, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records, and managing a team of accountants. THE TEAM

You will join the Corporate Finance team supporting the EMEAC region, reporting directly to the Senior Director, Finance, Global. The team is responsible for maintaining financial integrity, compliance, and strategic support across multiple entities in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Carribean. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Tax, Talent & Culture, and Group Finance.

YOUR ROLE

As Senior Manager, Corporate Finance – EMEAC, you will lead and oversee regional accounting, tax, and reporting processes to ensure a robust financial control environment. You will play a key role in audit coordination, tax compliance, and financial reporting, while supporting strategic initiatives and mentoring junior team members. Your work will directly contribute to the financial health and operational excellence of Rosewood Hotel Group across the EMEAC region.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Review and approve journal entries and invoices to ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP, IFRS, and group accounting policies.
  • Coordinate with Talent & Culture to manage payroll data for monthly accounting and ad hoc requests.
  • Lead and review quarterly VAT and annual Corporate Income Tax filings across EMEAC entities.
  • Manage the Dutch audit process and support group audit tasks for the region.
  • Support group tax planning initiatives, including CbCR filing and transfer pricing compliance.
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting and variance analysis for regional OPEX and tax expenses.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

  • You are a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong foundation in Dutch GAAP and IFRS, and a mindset for precision and accountability.
  • You bring at least 8 years of accounting and tax experience in a multinational environment, with 2–3 years in audit, and you thrive in complex, cross-border settings.
  • You have hands-on experience with VAT and CIT filings in the Netherlands, and ideally in other EU countries like the UK or Greece.
  • You are confident navigating finance systems, with Oracle or SAP experience preferred, and you embrace technology to drive efficiency.
  • You communicate fluently in English and Dutch and build trust across diverse teams and cultures.

**Wat ga je doen?**
In deze functie houd jij je onder meer bezig met het aanmaken van handmatige betalingsformulieren, contact opnemen met crediteuren en debiteuren, het voorbereiden van diverse rapportages. Ook zul je helpen met het uitzoeken van financiële vraagstukken, denk hierbij aan verschillen in de grootboeken en/of vraagposten rekeningen. Helpen met de opstellen en corrigeren van servicekosten afrekeningen. Invoeren van ad hoc facturatie en correcties in het systeem via journaalposten.

Goal:

  • Prepare the Directors Report and coordinate the collection of required information from the internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the audit of multiple entities with external auditors and local managements of respective entities.
  • Support periodic preparation of financial and management reporting to management and stakeholders at the parent.
  • Align with Tax Unit for tax compliance activities and supporting the maintenance of the Tax Control Framework.
  • In alignment with Compliance, ensure external compliance with regard to chamber of commerce and Tax reporting.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other Finance teams in relation to End of Month Financial closing processes (i.e. Treasury, Business Planning & Performance Management, CT&AM, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, GRC).
  • Maintain the General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, and manage changes in line with company policy.
  • Recommend and implement changes to the existing and developing new Accounting and Reporting guidelines and policies.
  • Perform technical accounting analysis and develop memos for documentation and collaboration of informed decision making.
  • Initiate automation using new solutions to gain efficiency in financial accounting and reporting processes.
  • Advise the Finance Supervisor on complex finance issues.
  • Maintain Internal Control documentation in the best order.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements in local jurisdictions.
  • Prepare CBS reporting documentation and coordinate monthly and quarterly reports in line with the timeline

Requirements:

  • Degree degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field, supplemented with a post-graduate title (such as CPA, ACCA, RA)
  • Combination of Big 4 and industry experience is a must
  • Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately in English (Dutch is a plus)
  • Minimum of 9 years of progressive work experience in technical accounting, reporting, consolidation, financial statement preparation and external audit coordination
  • Strong understanding and application of IFRS standards
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, S4/HANA, SAP Central Finance, advanced skills in Excel
  • Experience with BPC is a plus
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
