Overview
Engineering Manager - Platform (Design system) at Instapro Group. Instapro, part of Angi (NASDAQ: ANGI), is seeking an Engineering Manager with expertise in platform leadership, delivery, and design. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of engineers, own horizontal systems, and influence technical and product decisions. You will collaborate across the organization with technical and non-technical peers, develop a team that delivers sound technical solutions to challenging problems, champion the team’s impact to the business, and continuously grow as an engineer and a leader.
What you’ll do- Lead and mentor an innovative team of software development engineers working on building platforms that cross our product pillars – developing people as you grow our business and technology
- Partner with Product and Infrastructure counterparts to deliver impactful products and continuously evaluate the most effective way to deliver short- and long-term solutions
- Help establish a diverse and inclusive organization based upon safety and contribution, while supporting peers and the teams they support
- Foster a positive, supportive, and lively work environment while providing opportunities for team members to tackle new roles and take on new responsibilities
- Own the ins and outs of a system that is constantly growing and evolving while ensuring the quality of products and business continuity of systems
- Grow as a leader and a technologist through coaching and feedback, while helping reimagine and improve culture and practices
- 10+ years of professional experience within architecting, developing, and shipping software products and/or services across the stack
- 4+ years of React/Next.js experience
- Experience building design systems
- 2+ years of experience building people and teams, embodying servant leadership, empowering teams and collaborative work practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that respects its engineers and users
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with product and business counterparts, and present ideas to internal and external audiences
- You can and still enjoy coding
- Familiarity with database principles, microservices and creating RESTful APIs
- Experience working with application monitoring tools such as New Relic
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
