What will you do?

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and verification of software components across a wide range of applications, from driver control and algorithm development to UI and human-machine interfaces. You’ll explore innovative solution approaches, ensure code quality and maintainability, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. By sharing your expertise and mentoring junior engineers, you’ll help drive technical excellence and elevate our software standards.

Your responsibilities

• Design, implement, and verify new subsystems, modules, and components

• Write efficient and maintainable code (C++, C, Python) for various features such as driver control software, human-machine interfaces, algorithm implementation, and/or UI application development

• Explore different solution approaches to achieve the best results

• Review code and mentor (junior) engineers

Wat ga je doen?

TOPIC voert een breed scala aan innovatieve projecten uit voor diverse klanten. Voor een nieuw project zoeken we iemand uit de regio Eindhoven die (tijdelijk) drie dagen per week op locatie in Noord-Holland kan werken – uiteraard word overnachting  geregeld zodat jij je volledig kunt focussen op de opdracht en de samenwerking met het team. De overige dagen kun je naar keuze werken vanuit huis of op ons kantoor in Best.

In dit project werk je binnen een multidisciplinair team aan platformontwikkeling voor een geavanceerd systeem met maatschappelijke relevantie dat wordt klaargestoomd voor operationeel gebruik. Je hebt direct impact op technologische oplossingen binnen een complexe en snel evoluerende omgeving.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden:

·    Vertalen van requirements naar softwarearchitectuur en design;

·    Implementeren, testen en valideren van nieuwe subsystemen, modules en componenten;

·    Problem solving & debugging;

·    Aanpassen en optimaliseren van bestaande functionaliteit;

·    sparringpartner voor collega's en stakeholders binnen en buiten het team;

·    code review en het begeleiden van (junior) engineers.

Jouw kennis en ervaring

• Hbo- of wo-diploma (Embedded, (technische) Informatica, Elektrotechniek of vergelijkbaar)

• Minimaal 4 jaar ervaring met moderne C++ (> ‘17) en Qt en

• Ervaring met embedded OS (bijv. Linux, YOCTO, Buildroot, Windows IoT)

• Minimaal 2 jaar ervaring met hardware-integratie en protocollen/interfaces

• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden in Nederlands (C1/C2)
